Better Together

A non-profit, student-run volunteer group to help those who have recently come to the United States or those simply wanting to improve their English reading, writing, and speaking skills. We understand every student learns differently; therefore, we customize a curriculum for each student in accordance with their level and pace. We understand how difficult these transitions may be, but we provide the resources and the guidance to allow students to strengthen their confidence in English!

We hope you will allow us to be a part of your academic journey. After all, learning is always better together.

Hanlei Chen

My name is Hanlei Chen and I’m currently a sophomore at Westwood high school. In my free time, I enjoy drawing and I’m trying to learn how to cook. I‘m also interested in media and filming， and have become a member of The Youth Reporters Corps, doing on-site interviews and reports on large-scale events in the Asian community in Greater Boston. The reason I want to be an English tutor for new immigrants is because I want to broaden my horizons and I also want to help people. This will be my first time tutoring.

我叫陈涵磊，目前是 Westwood 高中二年级学生。在空闲时间，我喜欢画画，并且正在尝试学习如何烹饪。我对媒体和拍摄也很感兴趣，并成为了最少年记者团的一员，对大波士顿亚裔社区的大型活动进行现场采访和报道。我之所以想成为一名新移民英语家教，是因为我想开阔自己的视野，也想帮助别人。这将是我第一次辅导。

I am currently a senior at Boston University, majoring in biology with a minor in public health. I look forward to helping you build your confidence in speaking and applying English.
