Chinese-Culture-Exhibition

Silk Road Center is proud to host a Chinese Culture exhibition starting 9/1 to 9/9. The exhibition, provided by Quincy Asian Resources, highlights the history of Chinese calligraphy and water color painting through the creatvie designs from both professionals and amateurs.

The “Words of Wisdom” exhibition is a collection of quotes and idioms from various sources; selected to communicate life lessons and philosophies across all ages and ethnicities. Each quote will be expressed in Chinese brush painting and calligraphy, and presented in an elegant art form.

The "Ancient Chinese Word" exhibition demonstrates the evolution of Chinese characters through several stages of development. The Chinese writing system uses a logographic or hieroglyphic system (a series of symbols that represent a complete word or a phrase). This writing system is one of the oldest known written languages date back to over 4,000 years ago.
